Mike Steele writes: This was when Usain Bolt retained his 100m Olympic crown on day nine of the London Games. The 100m finalĀ is the blue ribbon event of the Olympics and always the one which fills everybody with nerves and excitement. Bolt was drawn in lane seven which left him quite wide as he came over the finishing line as my position was head on to lane five. I had two cameras set up which were triggered by cable, giving me two other angles and I also decided to shoot manually with a 70-200mm lens allowing me to follow the race from the moment it was won as well as capturing the runners as they came past me. I was fortunate to just capture Bolt with his finger up to his lips as he sped past to start his long lap of honour. The Games made some incredible pictures and to capture one of the main stars was a great thrill.
